METUS® Version 5.0
–even more transparency in the early phase of product
development
Introduced only a few days ago, the new version 5.0
of METUS provides the user with an even more performing tool
for the conception of modular product architectures. It
contains a wide range of new and improved functions and
usability, especially with regards to Requirements Management
in the early stage of the product development. Special views
and functions allow now the configuration of products, and a
performing scripting and formula language solves complex
computations.

ID-Consult and RWTH Aachen University optimize
Project Management
Globally aligned product development projects often
miss their objectives regarding technical perspectives as well
as regarding costs and schedules. The reason is often the lack
of awareness for company specific requirements for project
management, the mis-alignment with business processes and the
fact that project managers and team members do not receive a
company specific training.
In collaboration with IKT at RWTH Aachen
University, ID-Consult developed with “ProjectManagement+” a
method for company specific optimization of projects in
product development. If desired the company’s project
management process can be certified by IKT at RWTH Aachen

Students from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University
Munich in the Institut für Information, Organisation und
Management create under the supervision of ID-Consult a
company-wide Knowledge Management for Bosch und Siemens
Hausgeräte GmbH. The objective is the sustainable embedding in
the company culture and in business processes.

Drescher, an expert in the area of configuration management,
joined its team. His Know-How will be used in consulting
projects as well as in further development of our METUS
Software.
Sebastian Centmayer supports ID-Consult since
November 2009 in the areas of project management and product
design as consultant.
